This session will explore the biblical view of men's leadership in the church and how men can serve and disciple others.

 Workshop #3  

Prayer and Spiritual Disciplines

This session will focus on the importance of prayer and spiritual disciplines, including Bible study, worship, fasting, and silence and solitude.

 Workshop #2  

Emotional Intelligence

This session will explore the importance of emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills.

 Workshop #4  

Finances: Managing God's Resources

This session will explore the biblical view of money and provide practical strategies for managing finances well.

SPEAKER

Stephen Dervan
Originally from Albany, Georgia, Stephen grew up in a broken home where church attendance wasn't a priority. He came to faith in Christ as a teenager and felt a call to the ministry soon thereafter. He married his high school sweetheart Rebecca and God has blessed them with 5 children (Cade, Cole, Casen, Carrington, and Caylor). FILM CAREER Actor in 2008 Movie "Fireproof" (Wayne Floyd) Stephen's first role was as the hilarious hot sauce drinking fireman. Stephen accepted this role because his father was the driver at station 1 where the movie was filmed. Stephen also grew up in a home that was plagued by divorce. Actor in 2011 Movie "The Grace Card" (Mitch Saunders) His second role was as a rookie cop that provided a bit of comic relief as well. He took this role because the film centered on racial reconciliation, grace, and salvation. Growing up in the Deep South, Stephen is no stranger to racism. He even attended college at a Historical Black University on a minority scholarship. (Albany State University) He has been in full-time ministry for over two decades where he has served churches in Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. Passionate about teaching God's Word in a way that connects people to Christ, he believes that the local church is God's plan A to reach the World. He is passionate about marriage/family, teaching the Bible, and teaching others how to share their faith. He has his Master of Divinity from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary. Most Sunday's he can be found preaching at Oak Hill Church in Williamson, Georgia where he is the lead pastor.
